Hands on the Wall

They needed to make a mark,
to be remembered, gained
eternal life making hand prints.

Who will remember
that I too passed this way?
Where should I place my hand print?

My ancestors burned to dust
Under grey skies in the east
Who even knows their names now?

And does it, in the end,
truly signify if I
am remembered through eternity?

The way you live today is more important than being remembered through eternity Sara. But it happens that your words, etched here will ensure that you and your relatives who were burned to dust are remembered for an eternity.

I am not so sure that we are not remembered through eternity.... it just depends who is looking. I don't live to be remembered but I do leave tracks so that those who may look find it easier to see

Yes, I agree with the comments here. Each day matters, each step takes you further to completion.
